Providing clinical and anatomic pathology services to Western Oregon for over 9 decades.

Founded in 1932, Pathology Consultants is an established and respected member of the Medical Community in Western Oregon. We provide evidence-based diagnostic pathology services to patients and providers in the region and have expertise in multiple subspecialty areas of pathology. Our pathologists routinely partner with oncologists, surgeons, and radiologists to deliver up-to-date multidisciplinary cancer care to patients from all over Oregon.

We deliver accurate and prompt intraoperative surgical pathology consultation so that surgeons can make informed intraoperative decisions. In our fine-needle aspiration (FNA) clinic, our Pathologists offer one-on-one patient consultations, and in many situations issue same-day diagnoses. We also partner with regional health care systems to oversee laboratory operations at multiple locations.

Services

All of our pathologists are board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology by the American Board of Pathologists. Many bring additional fellowship training in the following sub specialities:

  • General Surgical Pathology including intraoperative consultation (frozen section).
  • Cytopathology including fine needle aspiration (FNA).
  • Dermatopathology
  • Hematopathology
  • Breast Pathology
  • Gynecologic Pathology
  • Molecular Pathology
  • Clinical Pathology
  • Outpatient Clinic: FNA and bone marrow biopsy

Distribution and Interfacing

Pathology Consultants employs an industry leading LIS agnostic interface engine, Lyniate’s Corepoint. This enables us to interface directly any EMR or LIS that a client may be employing by using the robust HL7 messaging standard. By interfacing directly with clients, Pathology Consultants keeps our processes lean and reduces the opportunity for error by eliminating points of manual data entry.

Accreditation & Licensing

All laboratories owned or managed by Pathology Consultants are compliant with local, state and federal regulations, including licensure under the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act (CLIA). Additionally, we voluntarily submit to accreditation by the College of American Pathologists (CAP).
